MIXCOLAB is a collaborative mixed media project created by four Visual Arts students of Zayed University in Dubai.
The work shown here is the in-progress creative output from an independent study course taught by Joshua Watts during the Fall 2009 semester.
The aim of this project is to encourage the individual aesthetic growth of these up-and-coming artists while allowing them to work together on a variety of projects, utilizing a variety of media and approaches.
Our objective is to create a group exhibition featuring both the individual and collaborative works produced during the course of this semester in a public space yet to be determined. With this goal in mind, we are creating a cohesive exhibition of artwork while independently pursuing our own creative concepts, while using a variety of media available to us as visual artists.
